Election Commission(EC) on Tuesday announced election schedule for the most awaited Dubbaka Assembly byelection which became inevitable after the death of TRS incumbent MLA Solipeta Ramalinga Reddy in August.
As the assembly election in Bihar is announced to be held in October, the byelection for Dubbaka Assembly constituency was also speculated to take place during the same time. However, the Election Commission left the Dubbaka schedule on hold to take stock of corona situations in Telangana.
Along with 54 other constituencies gearing up for the assembly byelections, Dubbaka will go for votings on November 3rd. According to the statement released by the Election Commission, the notification for the Dubbaka by-election will be released on October 9th while nominations will be accepted until October 16th.
As the scrutiny is scheduled to take place on October 17th, the deadline for withdrawing nominations until October 19. Polling will be on November 3 and the counting will take place on November 10.
Meanwhile, all the parties geared for the elections campaigning while Finance Minister T Harish Rao has already taken the lead in Dubbaka touring the villages in the constituency for the ruling party.
The Congress is likely to finalise the candidature of Siddipet DCC president T Narasareddy though Dr D Sravan Kumar and PCC secretary K Venaktanarasa Reddy are also in the race. While all probabilities have that the late MLA’s widow Sujatha will get the nomination for the seat, BJP has nominated Raghunandan Rao.
