While the ruling TRS is all busy in retrospection, the winning team BJP is setting the horses ready for the next race, the GHMC polls. However, it is the Telangana Congress unit that was left in hang as many senior leaders put the blame on PCC Chief Uttam Kumar Reddy.
It was learnt that the high command was flooded with requests to rope in a dynamic and charismatic new chief while the speculations in no time landed at MP Revanth Reddy who has been crucial in state politics of late.
Sources at AICC sources confirmed that the high command had made a firm decision over the change on state leadership post the Dubbaka results which left bitter experience for ruling TRS which already has a strong cadre in the constituency.
With growing demands for the full PCC reins to be handed over to Revanth Reddy, in the place of the working president of Uttam Kumar, the Congress high command was expected to make an official announcement by Tuesday evening. However, chances are high that the announcement might get postponed given the GHMC election schedule is rolled out meanwhile.
This speculation at once heated up the state politics as Revanth is known to be the main contender known for his unfierce verbal attacks on KCR and his kin in politics. Revanth’s craze in state and his hold amongst Delhi senior leaders has further strengthened the MP chances to take the throne.
