Opposition parties and Dalit Bahujan Samaj have expressed outrage over the remarks made by CM KCR to change the constitution. Leaders across the state burnt effigies of the CM. BSP leader RS Praveen demanded that KCR apologize to all the people of the country. He warned that governments that want to change the constitution must fall.
OU students expressed their rage over KCR’s comments. A huge rally was held from OU Arts College to Law College. They protested by burning the KCR picture with sandals near the Ambedkar statue. They demanded an unconditional apology from KCR, asked him to do this at the Ambedkar statue at Tank Bund.
Congress leaders conducted a funeral procession for KCR from Gandhi Bhavan to the Martyrs’ Stupa. However, the Telangana police arrested them and shifted them to Begum Bazar police station. Speaking on the occasion, Nagarigari Preetam said, “KCR, if you do not immediately withdraw your words and apologize, we will organize dharnas and rallies on behalf of the Dalit Congress across the state.”
Dalit Bahujan Sanghs in Medchal district Boduppal Municipal Corporation protested against the tyrannical attitude of KCR. Protests erupted near the Ambedkar statue asking KCR to withdraw his words and give an apology. Protests continued in the Sangareddy district as well, condemning the remarks of CM KCR. In Nagar Kurnool district Amrabad, Dalit leaders expressed anger over KCR. State representative of Mala Mahanadu Kunda Mallikarjun also expressed his anger at KCR.
‘KCR was deluded’, Malmahanadu state spokesperson Venkataswamy criticized. Also, Congress leaders burnt the effigy of the CM near the Ambedkar statue in the Tangalle Mandal center. KCR effigy burning program continued in Kodangal too. The effigy was also cremated in Sirisilla.
