In a step to improve the students’ command over English language studying in Andhra Pradesh government schools, Jagan Mohan Reddy-led government stated that English movies specially designed for children will be played in government schools across Andhra Pradesh.
The step was taken as a part of Mana Badi scheme taken up for revamping the education system in government schools in the state. Announcing that the government has already started the procedure to recruit necessary faculty for the same.
“We will also set up English Labs from the primary level,” said CM while launching the Jagananna Vidya Kanuka and the Mana Badi-Nadu-Nedu second phase at the Zilla Praja Parishad High School at P Gannavaram in Konaseema area of East Godavari district.
The government claimed that the strength in the government schools increased to 43.43 lakh from the previous year’s 37 lakh after the government made the English medium compulsion. It can be noted that the government is spending nearly Rs 37,714 crore for various schemes regarding education.
