In what can be called a big relief to the senior TSP leader and former minister Atchannaidu, the Andhra Pradesh High Court on Wednesday directed the state government to shift him to a private hospital.
While the TDP leader was shifted to Vijayawada sub-jail from the Guntur General Hospital, a petition was filed in the high court alleging government for forcibly taking him to the District Jail which apparently worsened his surgical wound.
Questioned the government officials of why he was shifted to the jail despite his health condition, the court the High Court rejected the government’s argument that the superintendent of the Guntur General Hospital should be given the discretion to decide which private hospital should Atchannaidu be shifted.
This came as a relief to the former minister and the TDP cadre who have waged a social media war after discharging him before even recovering. The High Court also dismissed all petitions filed by Atchannaidu for bail.
On this note, all eyes are on the decision of which hospital would Atchannaidu be moved while he is likely that Atchannaidu could be shifted to Ramesh Hospital in Guntur.
