His to the point comments often hits the bull’s eye, though they don’t go well with a certain section of leaders. Be it his claims that leaders like him are the true soul of the party or the comments against his own party cadre that they worked against him in the previous elections, TRS leader Etela Rajender leaves his own controversy mark in every comment he makes. Talking to the media of late, the Health Minister has yet again cornered the leaders of his own party in the wake of municipal elections. “There are no deaths in politics, only suicides. Leaders who fail to get tickets should support the party candidates, they are rather joining other parties for the sake of tickets. I condemn this scenario,” he said.
Further speaking, he stirred up a hornet’s nest, bringing the unions issue into the press meet. Emphasising the need for employee unions in all government organisations, Etala said that he has been observing oppressive tendency over certain communities. “I do agree that a few leaders are making comments against unions. There is discrimination against some people on all fronts, and they should be protected. Unions play a crucial role in addressing these issues,” he added. In the wake of the Chief Minister KCR making open comments against the employee unions, Etala’s comments came as a shock to the TRS cadre. Will this stir up a new discontent in the party?
