BJP MLA Etela Rajender said that Chief Minister KCR, who earlier promised abundant water and electricity in the state, is now cheating the people by telling lies that he would not buy the grains from farmers. He said this while speaking to the media at the BJP office in Hyderabad on Friday. Etela showed concerns about farmers suffering in the state due to KCR’s policies. He said that power cuts are increasing day by day in Telangana.
He explained that other states are buying grain from farmers by paying higher prices than MSP, while in our state, the situation is different. He alleged that the state government had not made any arrangements in advance even knowing that rice grain was likely to arrive. He accused KCR of acting as he wished and ruling as it pleases him.
Etela reaffirmed that if the BJP comes to power in the state, the government will buy every grain a farmer harvests. He openly blamed KCR adding that all these problems are due to his ill-considered decisions, where crores of acres were to be harvested, but nothing fruitful was done as expected. Etela demanded setting up purchasing centers in the state to procure paddy grain from farmers. Added that if the CM cannot do that, he must apologize to the farmers and submit his resignation from the position.
Etela added that no new rice mills were set up in the state, and the existing rice mills were the same- dire conditioned. It was recalled that these mills were running on old technology. He said rice mills in some states were converting a massive amount of 150 tonnes of paddy per hour into the rice.
