With reports from many national health institutions raising concerns on the second wave of Corona pandemic in the country by January-February, various reports over government planning to re-impose nation-wide lockdown are doing the rounds.
A tweet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi tagged in claimed that lockdown will be re-imposed again in the country from December 1st amidst the increasing number of cases from the past few days.

This tweet was allegedly posted through a prominent media outlet and was circulated on various social media platforms.
However, this turned out to be misinformation and the government gave further gave clarification on the same. The Press Information Bureau (PIB), took to its official Twitter account to rubbish the news about the reimposition of lockdown.
The fact check revealed that the tweet which went viral on social media platforms is morphed and is leading to fear and confusion among people.
PIB also clarified that no such decision has been taken by the government so far and urged the netizens to report any such misinformation.
