A day after leaving for Goa amidst the drug cartel chaos, actress Deepika Padukone along with her actor-husband Ranveer Singh on Thursday arrived in Mumbai. All eyes are on the four actresses including Sara Ali Khan, Sharaddha Kapoor and Rakul Preet while the later is already at Narcotics Control Bureau(NCB) Mumbai office for interrogation.
While Deepika is all set to attend the questioning session on Saturday, various news channels started reporting that Ranveer Singh has asked the central anti-drug agency whether he can be present during his wife’s questioning.
It was reported that Ranveer in his application to the NCB requested the officials to allow him to be present with Deepika during the investigation given her anxiety and panic attacks.
The actor has stated that he is a ‘law-abiding citizen’ and knows that he cannot be present at the time of Deepika Padukone’s questioning but is understood to have requested that he be allowed inside the NCB office, sources confirmed.
However, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) said that they have not received any request from Ranveer Singh to be present during Deepika Padukone’s interrogation. We confirm that we have not received any such request from any summoned person. The last email received from the concerned summoned person is only regarding joining the investigation,” said NCB officials.
The NCB questioned Rakul Preet Singh at the Mumbai office today. Padukone’s manager Karishma Sharma was also questioned in connection with the case. It can be noted that reported chats between Padukone and her talent manager Karishma set Bollywood to storm while many A-listers are said to be in row.
