Sand Mafia in the district ruthlessly claimed a life in Mahabubnagar. In a shocking incident, a farmer was crushed to death by a lorry for voicing against after sand smuggling through his field. The incident took place in Tirumalapur, Mahabubnagar while the deceased was identified as Kadi Narasimhulu.
Into details, the lorry driver refused to stop the lorry as Narasimhulu tried to stop the illegal transportation of sand. The anguished lorry driver reportedly crushed the farmer to death. Tensions ran high in the village while the villagers blocked the way with the dead body of the farmer.
The villager alleged that the sand mafia is going on from several months with the support of revenue and police officials. The farmer’s family also claimed that Narasimhulu filed a complaint about illegal sand mafia 15 days ago but was snubbed by the officials.
In a shocking revelation, it was later identified that the lorry which bumped the farmer was already in litigation with 3 police complaints from the last six months. It was also learnt that the driver paid a fine of Rs 1 lakh to the MRO.
