Farmers are continuing their protests on Kamareddy and Jagityala master plans. Finally, on the occasion of Sankranti, they expressed their grief by doing rangoli. On Monday, farmers staged a dharna on the Jagityala-Nizamabad road demanding the cancellation of the master plan. They demanded the Municipal Commissioner and District Collector be there and solve their problems.
The farmers raised slogans to protect their lands from the industrial zone. Due to this dharna, there was a huge traffic jam. The police came and talked to the farmers. But the discussion between the two parties increased and led to an argument. Farmers stated with utter pain that they are ready to commit suicide in front of the collector’s office if their lands are confiscated.
On the other hand, the leaders of the ruling party are warning that they are ready to resign if the master plan is not canceled. The Gram Sarpanch of Ambaripet objected to the comments made by the municipal chairperson that the master plan will be implemented only with the resolutions of the gram panchayats. They clarified that they have not given any resolutions.
They demanded an answer as to how they said that they had given the resolutions without giving them. Along with the farmers, the serpents are also complaining that if they don’t back down on the master plan, there will be a large-scale movement. Farmers continue to fight against the Kamareddy Master Plan.
