Calling it an end to months of RTC inter-state gridlock between the Telugu states, the authorities of Andhra and Telangana transport corporations are learnt to crack the deal to resume the services.
Sources confirmed that the APSTRC authorities have agreed to all the conditions laid down by Telangana owing to the demand in the festive season. APSRTC MD and vice-chairman MT Krishna Babu was learnt to come down a few more steps as the TSRTC officials continued to stick adamantly to their conditions.
It can be noted that every year, Andhra Pradesh fetched a good revenue with the services run from Hyderabad which probably didn’t go well with the counterparts especially during pandemic where the revenue drastically came down.
APSRTC has reportedly agreed to compromise upon nearly 1.6 lakh kilometres despite the losses it would incur owing to the difficulties faced by the commuters with private travel agencies looting their best.
AP buses are plying 2.64 lakh km in Telangana while Telangana buses are plying 1.61 lakh km in AP, which was reportedly raised as the main objection by the TSRTC right from the beginning.
With Dussehra, Diwali, Christmas and Sankranthi festivals coming up, authorities of both states are learnt to start making necessary services with the talks turning fruitful.
