In a most anticipated announcement, Telangana Chief Minister KCR on Monday gave a nod to film and television industry to resume shootings in Telangana. Giving an official announcement over the same, CM KCR signed all the necessary files issuing permissions. However, the cast and crew ought to adhere to the lockdown norms maintaining social distancing on the sets.
It is to the known knowledge that the fraternity bigwigs have recently held meetings with minister Talasani and Chief Minister over almost 2 lakh labourers losing a livelihood. Over which, Chief Minister, it is learnt, had permitted the only limited resumption of film shootings and pre-production activities.
While the works in film and TV industries in the state came to halt on March 23 in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak, the news came as a relief to all huge and small budget films which announced to resume shootings on an immediate note. However, the fate of movie theatres and multiplexes is still on hold with speculations that it would take a couple of months more.
