In the most-awaited news for film fraternity and cinephiles, the Jagan-led Andhra Pradesh government on Wednesday announced relaxations permitting theatres to screen films with 100 percent occupancy with a steady decrease in COVID cases. The AP CMO issued an order in this regard.
It can be noted that the filmmakers from Telugu film Industry are urging the state government to allow theatres to work with 100 percent occupancy. The decision came close on the heels of MAA elections which are touted to divide the film fraternity into two.
The new order will help the upcoming releases like Sharwanand and Siddharth’s ‘Maha Samudram’, Akhil Akkineni’s ‘Most Eligible Bachelor’, and Roshan’ Pelli SandaD’ which are waiting for a perfect release time. However, the order doesn’t mention the occupancy and second shows, but the night curfew will be restricted from 12 AM to 5 AM until October 31st.
