Finally, after months of speculations, KCR-led Telangana government on Monday announced that all multiplexes and theatres will start premiering shows from tomorrow.
In the line of the G.O. issued by Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, cinema halls, theatres and entertainment parks will reopen from November 24th as the state started to record high recovery rate.
The order comes in line with the Ministry of Home Affairs’ order to open cinemas and multiplexes. However, the management of cinemas, theatres and multiplexes should ensure that the given protocols are in force while running the shows.
Besides ensuring that all persons, audience, staff, vendors, etc., use masks at all times, management ought to take care of physical distancing, crowd management and Sanitisation of entire premises, particularly, the common areas shall be done after every screening.
The temperature setting of all air conditioning devices be set in the range of 24-30 degree Celsius while the relative humidity should be in the range of 40-70 per cent and that re-circulation of air should be avoided. The orders also instructed the authorities to stagger the show timings to ensure that intervals between shows do not occur simultaneously.
However, the decision came as bittersweet news for the film industry and theatre owners with no new movies for the release. Seems like the first two weeks will mostly see reruns of pre-lockdown movies which would also help to reinstate consumer confidence and assuring them about safety.
