In a shocking incident, Delhi’s top gangster Jitender Gogi was shot dead on Friday during a shootout in Rohini court. While the gangster was arrested by the special cell of the Delhi Police, gunmen dressed as lawyers barged into a court hearing and shot gangster Jitender Gogi thrice.
Special force personnel escorting the gangster then fired back, killing both the attackers on the spot. It is estimated that around 35-40 rounds were fired in the court premises. The assailants, identified as Rahul and Mareesh were part of the Tillu and Navin Bali gang. The two gangs had reportedly been at war for years and more than 25 people have died in their clashes.
The videos of the incident where gunshots are heard in court and policemen and lawyers are seen in a scramble in the court building are going viral on social media. Gogi was arrested in March under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) by Delhi Police’s Special Cell. He had 19 cases of murder, attempted murder, extortion, carjackings, and robberies booked against him.
