Former Home Minister of Telangana Nayani Narasimha Reddy who was undergoing treatment in Apollo Hospital breathed his last on Thursday. The 76-year-old leader was diagnosed with Covid about 20 days ago and was fully recovered from the infection after treatment.

As the special team of doctors continued to stabilise his condition from the last 36 hours, the leader’s post-COVID infection condition worsened.
Nayani from the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party has held several posts across his political career ranging from Minister for Technical Education, Minister for labour for the state of Telangana. He was the newly formed state’s first Home Minister between 2014-18.
