Adding strength to the rumours that Kiran Bedi would soon quit as Puducherry Lt Governor, new speculation connecting it to Andhra Pradesh politics started making rounds from the past few days.
If the information from trusted sources is to be believed, BJP-led central government is moving pawns to replace the present AP Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan with Kiran Bedi.
These rumours floated in the wake of the Governor consent to the controversial AP Decentralisation and Inclusive Development of all Regions Bill-2020 and APCRDA (Repeal) Bill -2020.
Sources claimed that the Delhi cadre is not happy with Governor’s decision with was apparently taken without the consent of central government. It was learnt that the Delhi heads are furious over Harichandan’s aggressive decisions while APSEC Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar fiasco happens to be one such scenario.
With a series of such incidents, it was learnt that the central government is contemplating to replace Harichandhan with a strict decision maker and former IPS officer Kiran Bedi seems to stumble as the most favourable option.
On the other hand, a few reports claimed that BJP leader and Rajya Sabha MP L Ganesan would be appointed as the new Puducherry LG. However, the former IPS officer denied these rumour stating that she didn’t get any such orders from the central government so far.
Rounding it off, one has to wait and see if the central government would stay true to the rumours over revamping the Andhra Pradesh politics.
