With the number of Coronavirus positive cases increasing with each passing day, the state government has braced up by intensifying the measures to contain the infection. Besides resorting to stringent rules while the lockdown in full force, the government has been increasing the number of hospitals that offer services to Corona patients.
In a recent revelation, Telangana health minister Etala Rajendra held a review meeting with the health officials followed by which orders were issued to convert the famous Gandhi Hospital into a fully Corona Treatment Facility immediately. This decision came close on the heels of the viral outbreak is on the verge of entering the third stage. It was learnt that Etala has passed instructions to not spare anyone who returned from abroad.
On this note, sources stated that discussions on hospitals, staff, and medical equipment took place while it was informed that all the crucial surgeries are diverted to Osmania hospital. It was informed that all necessary orders were issued to Ramesh Reddy, the Director of Medical Education to shift all the departments by the end of this month. The Minister has also instructed the authorities not to grant leave to any doctor or health worker there.
Meanwhile, officials were said to inform the crunch in personal protection kits which are in high demand if the number of positive cases increasing in the coming days. While the minister assured to curb the outbreak in the second stage itself, he informed that the medical department is all prepared to face the worst-case scenarios.
