After a most-deserving success of ‘Aaksam Ne Hadhu Ra’, South Indian cinephiles’ eyes are now on actor Suriya’s next project. In what can be called the most-awaited news in the last 12 years, Suriya confirmed his next outing with star director Gautham Menon.
According to the reports, Suriya and director Gautham Menon have begun shooting for their new project, the Netflix Tamil anthology ‘Navarasa’. The project is being bankrolled by filmmaker Mani Ratnam and Jayendra Panchapakesan of Qube Cinema while the proceeds from the film will be donated to several film bodies in Kollywood.
Before the team revealed the news on an official note, a few BTS (behind-the-scenes) pictures of Suriya donning a new look which struck a cord with fans and cinephiles. In another photo, Suriya can be seen riding the Royal Enfield bike on the streets of Chennai.
The short film is touted to be one of the nine stories based on the nine rasa — anger, compassion, courage, disgust, fear, laughter, love, peace, and wonder which will be helmed by nine different directors. Revathy, Prasanna, Nithya Menen, Parvathy, Siddharth, Vijay Sethupathi, Prakash Raj, Vikranth, Gautham Karthik, Simha, Poorna, Ashok Selvan and Aishwarya Rajesh are some of the actors in ‘Navarasa’.
