GHMC elections are no longer usual local polls with the thumping and surprising victory of BJP in recent Dubbaka by-polls. In a humiliating defeat, TRS took the GHMC polls on a prestigious note which ramped the campaigning strategies fielding in crucial leaders in 50 wards.
Amidst which, the war-of-words between the leaders took the peak turn with AIMIM and BJP in specific. BJP state unit president Bandi Sanjay on Tuesday made hard-hitting statements on AIMIM leaders.
Bringing Rohingyas and Pakistani residents in the city, the BJP leader challenged they would win the polls and declare surgical strike on Old City after they assume the office.
Bandi Sanjay also reiterated BJP Youth Wing President Tejasvi Surya ‘Bhagyanagar’ comments. He urged the voters to chose between the prosperous Bhagyanagaram and suffering Hyderabad which has been struggling under TRS reign.
AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, on the other hand, hit back the BJP leader’s remarks on the Rohingya community. Throwing an open challenge to BJP, Owaisi asked the saffron leaders if they could show at least 100 Rohingyas in Old City.
