The mercury level in the political barometer at once shot up in Telangana with reports claiming Prime Minister Narendra Modi is most likely to campaign in Hyderabad for the GHMC elections. Trusted sources at PMO confirmed that the BJP supremo would fly down to Hyderabad on 28th.
The news came hours after AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi threw an open challenge to the state saffron brigade bring Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the old city. Issuing a dare, he said that AIMIM will give the saffron party a befitting answer if they bring Narendra Modi to Hyderabad for poll campaigning.
By the time the reports boosted the morale of BJP cadre, it was learnt that the visit has nothing do with the poll campaigning but to take part in a program relating to Bharat Biotech. According to sources, the Prime Minister is visiting Hyderabad as a part of his three-city tour, which includes Ahmedabad and Pune, to take stock of the ongoing Covid-19 vaccine development work in the country.
According to the Cyberabad Police, the Prime Minister will arrive in the city at Hakimpet Air Force Station airport on Saturday afternoon and will head straight to Bharat Biotech facility at Genome Valley on the outskirts of the city. Refuting the speculations over the political campaigning, police authorities said the Saturday visit will not include any political activity by the Prime Minister.
