The land has become one of the most disputed subjects in the state of Telangana. Especially, various real estate whales are illicitly acquiring the government’s lands, and the politicians are in fact playing an important role in endorsing such activities. The government is publicly granting vast lands to many ineligible entities and individuals. Tolivelugu Crime Bureau did an exclusive Investigation where many sensitive aspects are revealed. To extend the deadline of applications for land assignment, regularization, and transfer of rights in line with GO 58 and 59 issued in December 2014, the government has brought in GO 14. However, it turned out that there were many conspiracies behind this. Leaders are looking to regularize any land that is placed next to the government land.
Minister Puvvada Ajay’s activities
Minister Puvada Ajay regularized the land he occupied for his medical college. He was a Congress MLA as part of Quid Pro Co-politics who swiftly moved to TRS in April 2016 without resigning from Congress. The government has regularized three and a half acres of land in Survey Nos. 93 and 94 in Khammam town in the name of Puvada Jayashree and his wife for the Mamata Educational Society. The land was valued at almost Rs 70 crore at the time which is now worth more than Rs 200 crores. The originally regularized land was only 10,489 yards for which Mamata Society paid only Rs 58 lakh to the government. However, there is more government land there. It can be up to four acres. Now there is a possibility of re-regularizing government land worth hundreds of crores of rupees next door in the name of regularization.
According to GO 59 which was brought by KCR Sarkar, it is not possible to regularize more than 500 yards in urban areas. However, Ajay bargained on joining TRS and KCR Sarkar granted a special GO for regularization of this land. Puvvada Ajay then regularized his land at the then Khammam Joint Collector Divya in 2015, after which he joined TRS in April 2016.
The pending petition in the High court
Earlier for the construction of canals through the Nagarjuna Sagar project, the government procured lands from farmers. However, the project engineers surrendered to the government after finding out that the canals were not needed as there is no farmland in Khammam city now. As per the Supreme Court guidelines, the state must submit the lands back to the heirs of those farmers who lost their lands for the projects.
A man named Sudhakar filed a petition in the High Court on the same issue which was discussed back in 2016. Notices were received by the Government and Mamata Educational Society on the same. The case is still going on, but the government already gave away these lands to those in their favor. The town planning officer has recently issued notices to the medical college in Bachupally, Hyderabad reminding them that there are no permits for which he was transferred within three months. This way, the 59 GO is actually fulfilling the needs of the ministers. The TDP MLA who shifted to TRS right after winning the elections also has some considerable land here. Thus the file of the lands of the five leaders in Khammam is pending with the government in the name of regularization. There is a possibility that all these will be utilized and regularized for the coming elections.
All the laws brought in their favor
All the lands of everyone who were exploding the government’s lands from 1995 were protected in the names of different laws and GOs. Initially, it started with 508 GO, which went forward with GO 747, 1606, 674, 455, 615, 1601, 2004. The YS government brought in 166, meanwhile the KCR govt roped in 58 and 59. However, in 2016 as per the GO 166. TRS regularized a former DGP’s land in the prime area of Banjara Hills. There are so many such situations. ATolivelugu Crime Bureau will slowly reveal everything in the following stories. It must be mentioned that GO 59 must be considered a boon to wealthy people. For all the lands to which the politicians can pay the fee and regularize, the government had done enough of that already. Rajeshwar Reddy seized 3 acres in the name of the college. It is learned that over 500 files of rich people’s illicit land worth thousands of crores that belongs to the government are now pending in the GHMC. Political pundits believe that the GO 14’s purpose of being brought is kind of the same as the previous GO’s that helped the rich take advantage of the government’s lands.
