At what cost would they become a platform plagued by propaganda and fake news? What will the particular website get by repeatedly targeting a prominent person? Is that for Views..shares and money?
Great Andhra, the website known to ‘sell’ news has yet again published fake news in an action of exploiting the freedom of media. In an article posted on the website, the publishers stooped so low that they commercialised a genuine and noble cause to save lives. They went on alleged that Silicon Andhra Sanjeevani Hospitals at Kuchipudi belongs to Ravi Prakash, the founder of TV9 and that he is manipulating the organisers in the name of donations.
Though Ravi Prakash has no connection with Silicon Andra Hospital except for being a major donor during the construction, the website prioritised to concentrate on deliberately misinforming and deceiving the readers with senseless news. Ravi Prakash has no involvement either with the management or the organisation of the hospital and this fact lied unnoticed while publishing an article on one of the respected and a senior journalist who stood to save lives. Above all, the news was published as a ‘gossip’ in an act of degrading the standards of journalism.
