Crime Bureau, Tolivelugu: It is common for leaders and activists to work together as elections approach. But such conditions do not appear in the TRS. Proof of this is the recent scuffle at the Medical ZP meeting. Minister Mallareddy, who is always in the news with controversy, is being touted as the center of this mess. The TRS leadership, on one hand, is urging its leaders to follow some ground rules and maintain discipline, while Mallareddy on the other hand is simply going ahead with his tailormade attitude. It seems that Mallareddy is behaving in this way to get rid of rivals in the party. It is being discussed that the Vice-Chairman and two ZPTCs had attacked the officials in the presence of Minister Mallareddy.
Are they late for these reasons?
The ZPTCs, who arrived late for the Medchal Zilla Parishad meeting, created quite a mess. Apart from being late to the conference hall, they created quite an intense atmosphere at the venue for starting the meeting without their arrival. Concerns were raised that they were in fact not asked to attend the meeting. People assume that it all started with the directions of the Minister in secret. District Parishad Vice-Chairman Venkatesh, Shamir Pate ZPTC Anita Lalayya, and Medchal ZPTC Shailaja Vijayanandareddy did not listen to what the officials had to say. It came as a surprise to everyone that despite being a small parishioner, there was no quorum for the two members to start the meeting with the chairperson of the Opposition appealing for help. They did not even bother to sit in the seat allotted to them even after they were apologized to and urged to calm down. Rumor has it that there are many other reasons behind them being so fussy over such a small matter. Sudhir Reddy’s factions suspect that Mallareddy had planned to do away with the party, so he turned the existing ZPTC to his side and targeted the chairman.
Does someone care about public issues? or Is it only about party conflicts?
It turned out to be an amalgamation of protests by members of the ruling party on the stage where a comprehensive discussion on public issues was to take place. Moreover, people are of opinion that Minister Mallareddy’s attitude on coming to the meeting is nothing short of a drama. There is a plethora of discussions raising these conflicts among the party members. Analysts warn that these internal squabbles could lead to trouble in the coming days.
