Hyderabad: As the RTC employee strike reached to 24th day, neither the government nor the employees seem to compromise on the demands which led to the strike taking its worst form with a series of suicides. Amidst this, the Telangana High Court made some furious comments on KCR-led government on Tuesday. Instructing both the RTC unions and the state government to take necessary steps to end the prolonged strike, the High Court lashed out on KCR-led government for deliberately misleading the court with the vague reports.
“Why is the government not looking into the demands?”, “Why aren’t RTC assets and debts distributed between the states?” are the questions pointed out by the High court. On this note, the court expressed its disappointment over the bureaucrats for misleading the court with the bank guarantee showing the numbers as Rs 4,253 while the real amount is Rs 850. The High Court was shocked by the statement made by Additional Advocate General Ramachandra Rao on behalf of the state government that the government is in neck-deep debts. Furious over the government, the high court has imposed a 24-hour deadline to make it clear if they would like to clear Rs 47 crores with RTC.
Adjourning the arguments to Friday, the High Court has ordered the Finance Secretary, RTC MD to appear in court for the next hearing.
