Chennai: As former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa’s niece J Deepa moves the Madras High Court seeking to restrain the release of biopics on her aunt’s life, HC served notices to directors AL Vijay and Gautham Vasudev Menon on Tuesday. While hearing the case filed by J Deepa, Justice Kalyanasundaram ordered for notices asking directors to respond by the next hearing i.e, on November 14th. In the petition filed, Deepa stated that being a legal heir of Jayalalitha, her consent has not been obtained for making the movies. Deepa also argued that the films would affect the family’s privacy.
