Kavitha’s gimmicks for sympathy ONLY: BJP’s Raghunandan Rao
Raghunandan Rao, BJP’s MLA, in a scathing attack on MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha, has criticized that his sister Kavitha has neither demanded for the women’s rights nor fought for the ministers’ position for women in the state cabinet. Raghunandan opines that Kavitha’s plan for protest in Delhi is nothing to do with ED’s summons to her and she is resorting to gimmicks only to get sympathy. He says that Kavitha was nowhere to be seen during the struggle for separate Telangana state and it’s anybody’s guess about how she has become an MLC in Telangana. In fact, Raghunandan wondered why Sankaramma, whose son Srikanthachary has attained martyrdom during the struggle for Telangana in the recent past, was not offered the position of MP, MLA or even MLC by the powers that be.
While participating in the International Womens’ Day celebrations at Medak city and speaking on the occasion, Raghunandan was categorical in stating that there is no connection between Telangana society and ED’s notices to Kavitha. He also felt that this may not be connected with BRS party also.
Raghunandan does not believe that Kavitha has started off with this business after duly informing the president of BRS party. He was also critical of KCR’s cabinet, which was formed after winning the 2014 elections where in there is no room even for a single woman. He felt that at that point of time if Kavitha has resigned from her position, then Telangana women would have put her in high esteem.
