New Delhi: Bansuri Swaraj, the daughter of former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has fulfilled the last wish of her mother made to senior lawyer Harish Salve. In a conversation with Harish Salve few hours before her demise, the late leader had asked him to collect Re 1 as a fee for representing India at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in Kulbhushan Jadhav case.
Bansuri Swaraj on Friday visited the senior lawyer and handed him a coin of Re 1 to him fulfilling the last promise. Swaraj Kaushal, Sushma’s widowed husband has taken to Twitter to share this moment. “Your daughter Bansuri has fulfilled your last wish today. She has presented Rs. 1 fee to Harish Salve in Kulbhushan Jadhav’s case, which you had left,” read his tweet written in Hindi.
The senior advocate represented India at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in the case of Kulbhushan Jadhav. Harish also announced that he would only charge a fee of only one rupee for the case.
