This time it is APSEC that received the High Court shock breaking the chain of disappointments to Jagan-led Andhra Pradesh government. Hearing the lunch petition launched by an advocate, the High Court on Friday instructing the APSEC officials to halt the implementation of e-Watch, the app launched by SEC until the 9th of this month.
This came as a shock to the SEC Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar who aced all the odds to launch the app that claims to monitor panchayat elections and for receiving complaints from the voters. It can be noted that the app was launched by SEC after days of confidentiality and speculation that it was developed under the shadow of main opposition TDP.
Arguing that the app was developed by private persons and do not have requisite authorisations from regulatory bodies, the advocate sought directions from the court to stop the launch of the app. The court, which examined the case, refused to allow lunch motion and said it would hold a hearing on Friday.
