Hyderabad: “Isn’t the government working for people? While the citizens are struggling, why is the government so stubborn to hold talks with the unions?” questioned the Telangana High Court after hearing the arguments advocates on Unions and government’s behalf.
The High Court on Tuesday has set the deadline of 48 hours directing the government to hold talks with RTC JAC and to submit a detailed report. The High Court also expressed its discontentment over the T-government for not appointing a dedicated Managing Director(MD) for TSRTC. The HC gave orders to immediately appoint a new MD and to buy/hire new buses to meet the needs of people.
“It seems like the government is going for unnecessary ego turning a blind eye towards the agitations and suicides,” stated the HC. As the advocate on the state government’s side tried to defend that all necessary measures are being taken, the High Court questioned why the holidays were extended disturbing the academics. The court was adjourned to October 18th.
