Tension prevailed on the Andhra Pradesh-Telangana borders with a large number of people trying to cross into AP from Telangana at the borders in Krishna, Guntur and Kurnool districts. All of them are migrant workers stuck in Telangana from almost 45 days. In the wake of Ministry of Home giving nod for the transportation of stranded migrants, pilgrims and students, thousands of migrants who walked hundreds of kilometres to reach the home town in AP were blocked at the borders.
Migrants workers who started from Hyderabad with the passes from Telangana state government were hurdled by AP authorities stating that the passes are invalid. With the migrants refuting back, tensions ran high followed by which the police authorities deployed a battalion urging the migrant to register through the toll-free number 1902.
It was informed that all the migrant you registered would get a confirmation message after which they need to enrol to any of the local police stations. The police officials took to the media requesting the migrants to stay back as the quarantine centres arranged by the state government are already filled up.
