“The assets of political leaders in the TRS regime are increasing exponentially, while the poorest who fought for the formation of the state are getting poorer,” said Dasoju Shravan, a national spokesperson for the Congress party. He also slammed the government for allocating more than an acre of land to the TRS party. Shravan questioned how the land worth hundreds of crores would be allotted to the TRS party.
He questioned the necessity of giving more than an acre of land within walking distance of the TRS Bhavan. He was outraged at CS Somesh Kumar about the government handing over the valuable land to TRS. He warned that Congress would fight until the government reverses the decision. Also added that he will unite all the opposition parties in the state against this.
Shravan alleged that the TRS party had created history by earning Rs 1,000 crore in 8 years, which he called a symbol of their exploitation. TRS leaders claim that they are paying for the hardships of the poor. Shravan went on to say that the people must sense the looting by the TRS, and beat up the TRS members whenever they visit the villages for political reasons.
They demanded the construction of double bedroom houses for the poor on government land. Local MLA Danam Nagender questioned why there was no response regarding the housing providences. Shravan said it should be remembered that the TRS Bhavan site was earlier allotted by the Congress government.
