It can be noted that the battle seeking justice for the farmers took casteism hue with hundreds of Dalit protestors allegedly deployed by a ruling party held dharna adjacent to Amaravati farmers. Demanding allotment of plots in Amaravati as promised, scores of protestors raised slogans which raised tensions on Saturday.
Claimed to belong to Dalit communities, the protests alleged that majority of the farmers protesting belongs to the same community who are deliberately stopping the government from land allotments. Following which, cases were filed against the Dalit farmers of Krishnayapalem in Capital city area and were jailed.
