Last Updated: September 25, 2019 at 7:45 pm

“Is it a mistake to rent my house to a Chief Minister?” questioned Lingamaneni Ramesh in an open letter to CM Jagan. Executive Chairman, Lingamaneni Estates and Projects Pvt Ltd (LEPL) and house owner of Undavalli residence rented by ex-CM Lingamaneni Ramesh has come public expressing his disappointment with Jagan. Responding to the allegations that he has been the benami for Chandrababu Naidu, Ramesh wrote that these false and baseless rumours are being circulated against him with an intention to tarnish his reputation. “Neither my family members nor I haven’t acquired any new land nor started any new project in Amaravati area,” he said. Clarifying things of why he had rented his house to Chandrababu, Ramesh said that he would have done the same any person of that stature. “The administration moved to Amaravati region after bifurcation of the state in 2014. There was no proper house for the Chief Minister. I accepted to give my guesthouse considering the interest of the state,” the letter reads. He also condemned the orders issued by the state government to demolish s residence.
