Crime Bureau, Tolivelugu: Everything Tolivelugu has been commenting on and publishing about Megha’s tactics regarding the ‘Mana Ooru Mana Badi’ is all coming true. It is said in the real estate circles that no matter what Megha Krishnareddy eyes on, he won’t step back until getting control over it. Buying off the officers with currency notes, and leaders with commissions, Megha ranks number one in managing and making things function as per his convenience. The Telangana government has introduced an Rs 8,000 crore scheme to develop rural schools. MSMEs should be given a 20 percent stake in such schemes. The law was introduced by the central government in 2004. But Megha Krishnareddy despite being disqualified is the only one who won all the tenders. Thousands of crores of scams are being unleashed by Megha through colluding with qualified companies. Companies that bid lower than them were left with no technical qualifications.
The Megha company has been dramatized as having entered into alliances with various companies with thieving deals. The CBI has received complaints about the scam. Representatives of the companies participating in the tenders complained about these irregularities. Some of them also approached the High Court. The court has issued orders that the tender process can continue and no final decision should be taken. In the same order, it is known that the Commissionerate of Tenders has expressed many objections to the tenders called by the Education Department except the one related to painting. There is no standard schedule of rates other than painting in the tender of the education department and there is no basis for calculating the prices of the items. Whether prices given elsewhere in other states are taken into consideration is not available. It is reported that the COT has suggested coming to a conclusion on the basic prices first.
On the other hand, when the financial bids of the companies that won the tenders were opened saying that they were eligible, they quoted more in all of them. Rs.1,954 crores have been quoted for works worth Rs.1,539 crore. In this, for painting, 10 percent is more, while for the rest, 31 to 68 percent were quoted more. The Telangana Education Welfare Infrastructure Development Corporation, which has not taken a final decision on this, has asked the COT to examine the entire tender process. It seems that the COT, which suggested consulting with the monopolists on the first two, gave a report on the remaining two on Thursday. In this, it has been pointed out many errors in the tender process and it has been clarified that the prices are too high and there is no basis for the estimates.
Tolivelugu has already recognized the tricks played by Megha with this scheme introduced by the Telangana government and revealed everything with proper proof.
The corporate entities have been entrusted to carry forward the painting work in schools. The minister’s son used his influence at a five-star hotel in having some applicants withdraw from the tender. It’s a different matter but the two companies came legally. One is Megha and the other is in collaboration with Asian paints. Asian Paints have a 20 percent stake in it, while Megha has an 80 percent stake. Although many issues were discussed at the pre-bedding meeting, there is a chance that many paint companies will go for a lesser amount. Of these, only two companies were eligible and tenders were awarded to them only by the authorities.
Four companies participated in tenders for these. They all have quoted for a lower price but the tender was given to a company with a fake experience certificate without a higher price. Both of these have a direct relationship with Megha.
For this 5 companies have qualified in tenders. But those involved in tenders were sidelined for silly reasons. The committee has given tenders only to companies that have tied up with Megha. They welcomed the companies that are ready to spend more money. The complaint alleges that fake certificates were given priority to the committee. The authorities did not care if the secrets and conspiracies of the big companies were exposed.
Green Chalk Boards Business
Tenders were also given to Megha-compliant companies on chalkboards. However, those who have submitted tenders for a lower price were rejected stating reasons that there is no guarantee on them working honestly on the technical basis. The CBI further received various complaints that the three companies formed as a syndicate with Megha were trying to rob tenders without qualifications and all of them should be investigated.
