Known for her bold attitude and fearless comments, former minister Konda Surekha’s name came back into the state political scenario with the Huzurabad by-poll. While Congress which rolled back its sleeves to give a tough fight to the ruling TRS party has been contemplating a lot to finalize its candidate, rumors have it that firebrand leader is most likely to be the one.
Sources working closely with TPCC chief Revanth Reddy confirmed that Surekha’s candidature was finalized and all required documents were submitted to AICC Telangana affairs in-charge Manickham Tagore.
Despite a few leaders objecting to Surekha’s candidature, it was learned that high command is firm on fielding a senior leader in the constituency. Sources also confirmed that the Konda couple has got an assurance from the leadership about their future in the upcoming 2023 elections.
