Political flare started to set the poll-bound constituency Huzurabad on fire with the election dates fast approaching. While the exchange of heated comments is quite common during the election campaigning, by-polls this time drew attention with contesting parties competing in holding secret meetings with community heads.
Etala Rajender, the BJP candidate who recently participated in the Mudirajula Sangham meeting, made sensational remarks. “Madiraju’s are heath beat to the constituency. Going by the political history, anyone who messes up with community faces dire consequences,” he said. Further, he found parallels with Mahabaratha stating that though all the warriors are on Kauravas side, Pandavas won the battle as dharma is on their side.
Meanwhile, TPCC chief Revant Reddy has appealed to Huzurabad voters to give the party a chance. Congress, which emerged as the main contender in the constituency entered the field on the last day of nominations darted questions on components TRS and BJP. “Youth and students played crucial role in Telangana movement. Considering which the ticket is given to a student leader in the upcoming polls,” he said.
He then lashed out on Kaushik Reddy who switched loyalties with TRS and is now facing humiliation anticipating MLC seat. “He is paying back for the covert operation,” he added.
