The news that broke out a day ago stating that the movie-goers are allowed to carry their own food and beverages into the multiplexes came as good news to the movie lovers. In a response to an RTI filed by a Hyderabad-based anti-corruption activist Vijay Gopal, it was revealed that Hyderabad police stated multiplexes cannot prohibit cine-goers from carrying their own food and water bottles inside the cinema halls.

The recent RTI response also revealed that customers can also bring their own 3D glasses and stated that the cine-goers can submit a complaint legal metrology department in case they are charged extra either for food, water or 3D glasses. However, in a reply to the query on Twitter, the Hyderabad police shockingly denied the news which came as a disappointment to the views who celebrated the previous news. The official Hyderabad police handle stated that the news is not authentic yet. The cinephiles came down heavily in the comment box lashing out on the police tagging the response to Vijay Gopal’s RTI.
