Hours after Telangana government cancelled permission of Deccan Hospital for overcharging and warned the other private hospitals to mend their ways, another such shocking incident surface in Secunderabad.
Seems like the private hospitals that are burdening corona patients with lakhs of fees changed their looting plan which came to limelight with an incident which took place at Yashoda Hospitals, Secunderabad.
Into details, a shocking video with a family demanding the hospital authorities to show their son who was admitted with kidney failure surfaced online.
According to claims made by the patient’s family from Korutla in Jagityala district, their son was recently admitted to Yashoda Hospital 10 days back with kidney failure. Reportedly, the hospital authorities have so far charged a whopping amount of Rs 4 lakh so far.
Besides not allowing them to visit their son until the pending bills were cleared, it was learnt that the authorities on Wednesday informed that the patient turned positive to corona and an additional Rs 5 lakhs need to be deposited.
The panicked family sat for a protest at the hospital urging the hospital authorities to show their son. The patient’s family also raised concerned over the hospital hiding their son’s health condition.
While the hospital authorities and health officials are yet to respond to the allegations made by the family, it can be noted that Yashoda is amongst the private hospitals that were slapped with the notices for violating the government’s directive and overcharging.
The court also instructed the state government to take immediate action on the hospitals that violated the G.O which were, however, snubbed by the officials.
