Hyderabad on Tuesday recorded yet another flyover accident claiming one life while four others suffered injuries. The vehicle dropped from over 20 feet on to a road from the Bharathnagar flyover which has been facing allegations over faulty design. The incident took place in the early hours of Tuesday while the deceased was was identifies as Mohammed Sohel (27), a Hyderabadi hotelier. According to the sources, there were six passengers in the car as the deceased sat next to the driver’s seat which hit the road while it flipped off.
A similar accident took place in November at the Biodiversity Flyover, as the red Volkswagen fell off the flyover which fell on another car parked by the road below killing a pedestrian who was waiting for an auto at the circle. While the injured women died on the spot, three people who were in the car were rushed to the nearby hospital. Seems like its high time that the government takes immediate measures to curb these flyover accidents.
