With the Health department officially confirming the Coronavirus cases in Telangana and Delhi, situations heated up in the respective cities. Despite the state governments issuing statements that all measures have been taken to contain the viral infection, tensions prevailed with reports sparking raise in the list of infected people.
With the news that the 24-year-old Hyderabadi, who works in a tech company in Bengaluru travelled through a local bus there, the Karnataka government is now all busy juggling through the list of commuters who travelled in the same bus. While the state government already contacted a few of the individuals, instructions were passed to remain in the home quarantine for the next 14 days. The man was speculated to get infected in Dubai which he recently visited.
“Around 27 individuals on the bus from Bengaluru to Hyderabad will be traced and notified to stay under quarantine. All those who were in touch with the man and worked with him have also been notified. We are integrating with Karnataka government over the same,” stated Telangana state Health Minister Etela Rajender. A high alert was already announced in the border districts Raichur and Gulbarga in Karnataka.
