Hyderabad is one of the most livable cities in the country, said IT Minister KTR. He was speaking at an event at the HGCL office on Friday. Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited has released the annual report along with GHMC Mayor Gadwala Vijayalakshmi. He said that reports, surveys, and books on urban development have been published.
KTR said that for the next two weeks, we are conducting urban and rural development programs across the state. As part of this, programs will be organized in 12,762-gram panchayats and 142 municipalities in the state. He said that while there were only 68 municipalities in the state in the past, now they have reached 142. The number of gram panchayats has also increased significantly.
We are allocating a 10 percent budget in the name of greenery and developing it. It was revealed that several works have been undertaken under SRDP. He said there was progress in SRDP. He said a new park would be set up on 18 acres around Usman Sagar. For this, Rs. 35.6 crore, which will be made available very soon.
The minister said that skywalks are being made available at 2 places in the city. He announced that over 14 bridges will be constructed over the closed river, clarifying that the funds will be provided to the municipalities every month and steps will be taken to ensure better services in building these places as the important centers for people.
