As Hyderabad continues to battle the flood followed by incessant rains for the first time in the last 100 years, donations are pouring in support for the rescue operations being carried out by the state government. Starting off with Tamil Nadu government which announced a financial contribution of Rs 10 crores, Delhi government on Tuesday promised a donation of Rs 15 crore for relief efforts in flood-hit Telangana.
Followed by the criticism on social media, Tollywood stars on Tuesday came up pledging contributions to the relief fund set up by Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for flood relief works. While Akkineni Nagarjuna happened to be the first celebrity to have raise for the cause, superstars Chiranjeevi, Jr NTR, Vijay Deverakonda and Mahesh Babu announced their donation via social media handles.
Chiranjeevi revealed he donated ₹ 1 crore as contribution while Nagarjuna pledged ₹ 50 lakh as a contribution to the flood relief fund.

Star director Trivikram, production house Haarika & Hassine Creations pledged Rs 10 lakh each while young directors Anil Ravipudi and Harish Shankar donated Rs 5 lakh each for the CM relief fund. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday announced ₹ 10,000 as immediate relief to each flood-affected household in the city, assistance of ₹ 1 lakh each to totally damaged houses and ₹ 50,000 to partially damaged ones.
