Hyderabad which is still recovering from the two-day heavy downpour on Saturday is yet again warned of heavy rains yet again. While the roads have already been inundated with heavy rains since the afternoon, the Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rains in the next two hours.
The GHMC issued guidelines warning the residents of Hyderabad to stay home except in case of emergency. Authorities warned everyone to watch out for manholes and not to underestimate the flow of rainwater. Traffic on the Musaram Bagh Bridge was closed due to heavy rains in the afternoon in Amberpeta.
The downpour triggered waterlogging and inundation in several areas like Kukatpally, Serilingampally, Balanagar, Khairatabad, Qutbullapur, Hyderguda, Rajendranagar, Meerpet, and Moosapet. The official also provided a phone number (040-29555500) for residents who need assistance.
