Raising the total number of the infected with the deadly virus in Telangana to two, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Saturday confirmed the second Coronavirus positive case in Hyderabad. According to the health authorities, the person who has the travel history to Italy was admitted to the Gandhi hospital earlier in the city for quarantine purpose. Officials announced that the blood samples sent to the National Institute of Virology, Pune turned positive raising alarm in Telangana.
Upon which the state government has decided to shut down all malls, casinos pubs, educational institutions till March 31. This move came close to the heels of states like Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh announcing shut down for the next twenty days.
Telangana government also assured to take necessary precautions to avoid the spread of coronavirus with the board exams right around the corner. Meanwhile, Telangana reported its only Covid-19 patient has recovered from the novel virus with the samples of two more suspected cases of coronavirus sent to National Institute of Virology in Pune.
