One would say that Hyderabad turned saffron all at once. All the streets were filled with spiritual charm. As part of the Hanuman Jayanti celebrations, a procession was held in the city. All the temples of Anjani Putra were beautifully decorated by the devotees.
The Hanuman temples in the city are crowded with devotees. Devotees made large-scale processions from all corners. All the streets were resounding the name of Lord Hanuman. Haryana Governor Dattatreya and Huzurabad MLA Etela Rajender conducted special pujas at the Ram Mandir in Gauliguda. Then the procession started from Gauliguda to Thad Bund. The yatra was well organized with thousands of devotees and activists participating.
Etela participated in an event organized by Hinduvahini in Balanagar IDPL Colony. He said that he was happy to organize the procession that showcases Indian culture, traditions, and unity. The procession from Jagadgiri Gutta to IDPL was about 12 km long. “Shobhayatra is a way to pass on our culture and traditions to future generations,” said Etela Rajender.
The 21 km long procession from Hyderabad Karman Ghat Hanuman Temple to Tad Bund took place with grandeur. Abhishek Agarwal, who had earlier produced the film Kashmir Files, conducted special pujas at the temple. The procession is planned to pass through Champapet, IS Sadan, Saidabad, and Saroor Nagar. Thousands of devotees took part in it. Slogans of Jai Shriram and Jai Hanuman were chanted.
Police have set up heavy security during the processions. Surveillance was carried out by 8,000 policemen, 550 CCTV cameras, 4 mounted cameras, and the police officers who blended into the crowd. Liquor sales were banned in the twin cities from 6 a.m. Saturday until 6 a.m. Sunday. On the other hand, the processions were held in the districts. All the famous Hanuman temples were crowded with devotees. The festivities were conducted in a beautiful manner with no sort of disturbances.
