The state winter assembly has witnessed some interesting statements on the second day of the sessions. Right from Vamsi’s controversial ‘Pappu’ remarks on TDP to Jagan admitting ‘Sakshi’s mistake, the second day’s sessions heated up drawing the attention of media. Yes, you heard it right! Chief Minister Jagan has admitted that in one of the articles published in ‘Sakshi’, the newspaper owned by him published wrong news. In a reply to opposition TDP leaders regarding the distribution of superfine rice (sanna biyyam) during the Q&A session, Jagan hit back saying that they had nowhere promised to distribute superfine rice. He further stated that they have only promised to provide eataåble, good quality rice.
This statement from Jagan has rattled the session for a while as the TDP leader furnished the videos and articles from ‘Sakshi’ channel and newspaper which clearly stated ‘Superfine Rice’. He then took a step back admitting that like all other newspapers ’Sakshi’ too has mistaken their claim. This has triggered flak from the netizens who took to the comments section to lash out on Jagan government for making promises. They reiterated how they cleverly split the increment of old-age pensions for four years.
