Right from being the first Indian filmmaker to be a Jury Member in the Miss World Competition to housing never-ending controversies, Karan Johar makes his presence felt where ever he is. His recent confessions at the India Today Conclave 2019 yet again won the social media. On being asked about his reaction to the abolition of Article 377, KJo gave quiet an emotional reply. He revealed that he cried on the day homosexuality was decriminalised in India. “I just woke up and cried. I was overwhelmed by the fact that there was finally freedom. There is only one love and it should be equal to all to be with the person we wish to. It was a historical judgement and I’m so glad that it is finally accepted legally. The next step is gay marriages are allowed in our country,” he confessed. He also said that particular day stands close to his heart as it is his father Yash Chopra’s birthday.
