The concern of Basara IIIT students continues. Authorities and public representatives held talks with the students on several occasions as they raised concerns over the resolution of the 12 demands. However, they continued their concern for the seventh day on Monday as there was no clear guarantee of a solution to the demands. Meanwhile, BJP state president Bandi Sanjay wrote a letter to Chief Minister KCR seeking an immediate solution to the problems of Basara IIIT students.
Bandi stated that Chief Minister KCR is acting negligently on the legitimate issues of Basara IIIT students. He urged the state government to immediately take a look at students’ 12 fair demands, accept them and address them for good.
On the other hand, Sanjay criticized the formation of the KCR’s National Party. He opined that KCR has time to meet with political strategists and Telangana traitors, but not the students of Telangana. He expressed anger over KCR for not paying attention to students’ problems even after 6 days of tense protests on the campus. He questioned KCR if the demands of the students are going to remain just as the demands and nothing else. He bashed KCR for spending crores of public money on foreign tours and personal campaigns, but not being ready to spend money for the betterment of students’ lives.
“Minister Sabita Indrareddy should unconditionally apologize for calling the demands of Basara IIIT students as silly,” Bandi said. Ministers, officials, and students are urged to refrain from playing mind games. He further mentioned that the successors Indrakaran Reddy and Sabita Indrareddy are spreading the false propaganda that the students’ problems were been solved, and bashed the government and KCR for turning Telangana into a debt-ridden state that is not even able to provide funds for its educational institutions.
Bandi, on the other hand, alleged that ministers, officials, and police, are harassing the students and their parents. He demanded that the government convene an all-party meeting as soon as possible to resolve the problems of IIIT students as well as a meeting with all student unions.
